Special fund for infrastructure and climate neutrality
Under the "Infrastructure" special fund, the Salzlandkreis will receive a municipal lump-sum budget of EUR 57,195,986.00 for the funding period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2042.
At its meeting on 3 December 2025 (draft resolution B/0147/2025), the district council decided to use the funds provided by the federal states and local authorities to finance infrastructure investments as a first step for use in the infrastructure areas of
- Civil protection with approx. 20 %
- Transport infrastructure with approx. 50 %
- Education infrastructure with approx. 20 %
- Digitisation with approx. 10 %
to be distributed. In addition, it was decided to work through the individual infrastructure areas according to prioritised lists that have yet to be drawn up and will be presented to the district council for approval at a subsequent meeting. The subsequent deliberations will also include the additional funding opportunities from the shares to be allocated to the federal and state governments from the special fund. This will result in shifts within the initial distributions.
