The following office hours apply for car dealerships and registration services:
Monday
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Tuesday
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Thursday
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Friday
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Documents for processing can generally be handed in at the issuing desk during general opening hours.
As a rule, the processed documents are collected on the following working day.
Notes
Since 15 January 2020, registrations have only been processed upon presentation of a copy of an identity card. To do this, please use the relevant form and submit it fully completed (only a copy of the identity card or a copy of the passport together with the original certificate of residence is required; the completed form for copying identity documents is required).
Furthermore, since 15 January 2020, it is generally required that a corresponding processing order is attached to the authorisation documents.
Minors may only be registered if a parent or guardian appears in person and signs the relevant declaration of consent. In addition, the minor must hold a driving licence for the vehicle to be registered. This does not apply to persons with severe disabilities who meet the requirements of Section 3a of the Motor Vehicle Tax Act.
