Professional driver qualification
Drivers who carry out goods or passenger transport on public roads with motor vehicles for professional or commercial purposes must provide proof of basic qualification and/or further training on the basis of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Professional Driver Qualification Act (BKrFQV).
From 23.05.2021, the professional driver qualification (key number 95) will no longer be entered on the driving licence, but the driver qualification certificate will be issued in the form of a card.
The following documents are required for the issue:
- Identity card or passport with registration certificate (the latter not older than 30 days)
- Photograph, in accordance with Annex 8 of the Passport Ordinance
- valid driving licence
The driver qualification certificate is sent directly to the applicant by Bundesdruckerei.
Applications are only processed at the driving licence authority in Bernburg (Saale).
