Promoting access to information and communication technologies in schools (ICT support)

The State of Saxony-Anhalt, on the basis of the “Guidelines on Promoting Access to Information and Communication Technologies in Schools (ICT Guidelines)” dated 10 February 2023, provides all schools with ICT equipment tailored to their needs, including the site-specific integration of systems, in order to improve the technical conditions for achieving the State of Saxony-Anhalt’s educational objectives in the field of information technology. The Salzlandkreis has submitted and had approved corresponding applications for schools under its own management.
The aim of the grant is to promote the standardisation of basic infrastructure in schools, where ICT equipment has not yet been installed to the required extent, in order to streamline administrative procedures. In particular, the provision of up-to-date ICT equipment in schools and corresponding e-government applications is intended to give teachers and pupils better access to innovations and to create the conditions for improved collaboration with public and private institutions. Training in the use of digital media is to be provided in order to enhance pupils’ media literacy.
