Passenger transport
Driving licence for passenger transport for taxis, hire cars, ambulances, etc.
- Valid identity card or passport with current registration certificate (not older than 90 days)
- Certificate of good conduct according to § 30 Federal Central Register Act (BZRG) (to be applied for at the responsible registration office and directly to the Salzlandkreis, 32 FD Ordnung und Straßenverkehr, Fahrerlaubnisbehörde in 06400 Bernburg (Saale) The certificate of good conduct must not be older than 3 months at the time of application.
- EU driving licence
- An ophthalmological certificate - not older than two years in accordance with Annex 6 of the FeV
- A certificate of physical or mental aptitude in accordance with the official model in Annex 5 FeV - not older than one year
- Aptitude assessment in accordance with Appendix 5, Section 2 FeV (Profi-Check): On 25 June 2021, the transitional provision of Section 76 No. 17 Sentence 3 FeV will expire. This means that after 25 June 2021, both officially recognised assessment centres for driving aptitude and doctors authorised to carry out aptitude tests in accordance with Section 11 (9) in conjunction with point 2 of Annex 5 FeV (e.g. doctors with the designation "occupational medicine" or the additional designation "company medicine") will only be allowed to use suitable and tested test procedures and equipment. The current list of suitable test procedures and equipment can be found on the website of the Federal Highway Research Institute.
The reports themselves must
- the author(s)/editor(s),
- the test procedures used and
- the test forms/versions used must be specified and their correctness must be verified by the driving licence authority. Please inform your doctor of this during the examination, as otherwise the certificate will no longer be recognised.

The passenger transport licence for ambulances
- Valid identity card or passport with current registration certificate (not older than 90 days)

Renewal or re-issue of a passenger transport licence for all types of passengers
- Valid identity card or passport with current registration certificate (not older than 90 days)
- Certificate of good conduct according to § 30 Federal Central Register Act (BZRG) (to be applied for at the responsible registration office and directly to the Salzlandkreis, 32 FD Ordnung und Straßenverkehr, Fahrerlaubnisbehörde in 06400 Bernburg (Saale) The certificate of good conduct must not be older than 3 months at the time of application.

- From the age of 60, additional expert opinion from a doctor with the speciality title "occupational medicine" or the additional title "occupational medicine" or expert opinion from a driving fitness assessment body on physical and mental aptitude (not older than 1 year), Annex 5 No. 1 and 3 FeV
