Garden dreams

In the heart of Saxony-Anhalt's oldest town, Aschersleben, numerous gardens and parks have been inviting visitors to explore them since the 2010 State Garden Show. Many of them were redesigned or extensively renovated especially for this event. Today, promenades and play areas ensure a lively atmosphere on the Herrenbreite. The Bestehornpark offers modern (garden) architecture, while the Stadtpark delights visitors with its old trees, a plant library, the "Aschersleben Globe" and an impressive rose garden. The green promenade ring stretches along the medieval city fortifications with their well-preserved defence towers and picturesquely encloses the historic old town.
