The state of Saxony-Anhalt supports various measures to improve the integration opportunities of long-term unemployed people who are distant from the labour market. The basis for the execution and implementation of corresponding projects is the "REGIO AKTIV" guideline on the granting of subsidies for the regionalisation of labour market promotion from funds of the European Social Fund Plus and the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Goal
The youth welfare counsellor is the link between the youth employment agency and the youth welfare office of the local authority. The aim is to improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperation between the legal areas of the Second Book of the German Social Code, the Third Book of the German Social Code and the Eighth Book of the German Social Code in the youth employment agency and the counselling of young people at the transition from school to training or working life.
Contents
In particular, the youth welfare counsellor should take on additional, i.e. non-compulsory, activities in the cross-legal casework of the youth employment agency and support it in terms of organisation and content. This includes the following tasks:
- Clarification of the suspected need for help and guidance in the individual subject areas of the local youth welfare office,
- Initiation, moderation and quality development of cross-jurisdictional meeting formats (e.g. case discussions),
- Quality development of cooperation with youth welfare organisations,
- Quality development between the youth welfare sector and schools at the transition from school to work,
- Co-organising cooperation with network partners and supporting networking activities and
- Participation in the evaluation of the youth employment agency, quality development of the youth employment agency taking into account the objectives of the respective local authority, implementation of the communication concept of the youth employment agency and planning, organisation and implementation of joint events within the framework of the youth employment agency.
Implementation period
In the Salzlandkreis district, the youth welfare counsellor will be deployed for the period from 01/01/2023 to 31/12/2028.
