Apply for planning permission

Planning approval is a formal administrative procedure for the binding official approval of a plan. In the process, all legal relationships under public law between the project sponsor and those affected by the plan are formally regulated. Without the planning approval process, a large number of public-law procedures would have to be carried out for major projects, which would make efficient and consistent planning virtually impossible.
Construction
projects are generally authorised by a planning approval decision.

In particular, the construction and modification of mountain railways, overhead power lines of 110 kV or more, airports and airfields, gas supply pipelines over 300 mm in diameter, dyke construction and watercourse development, railway lines, federal and state roads, and motorways are, in principle, subject to planning approval.
