With energy and enthusiasm: KVHS invites you to a dance class
Bernburg. The KVHS Salzlandkreis is offering two fantastic dance courses under the motto ‘The Joy of Movement’. Dance enthusiasts of all ages and genders are invited to learn new moves, improve their fitness and, above all, have lots of fun on the dance floor. The courses offer the ideal opportunity to try out the dance styles of burlesque and flamenco under the professional guidance of Dr Olga Thierbach-McLean. The focus is not only on technique, but above all on the joy of movement and the shared experience of dancing as a group.

These sessions create a space where everyone – whether a complete beginner or an experienced dancer – can recharge their batteries and simply express themselves through music. No previous experience is necessary. You just need to enjoy moving, regardless of your build, age or gender.
You can take part in the course either on your own or in pairs.
The number of participants is limited to ensure personalised support. Registration is therefore essential:

Enchanting pieces of jewellery made from epoxy resin
Bernburg. Attention, DIY enthusiasts! In this KVHS workshop, you’ll create enchanting pieces of jewellery using epoxy resin. Epoxy resin is a fantastic, durable material that’s ideal for bringing a variety of creative projects to life. The course will provide you with all the necessary knowledge and guidance on how to create your pieces. The course leader will explain the correct mixing ratio of resin and hardener, demonstrate the correct casting technique and introduce the various design options. Once it has dried sufficiently, the piece of jewellery will be polished and sealed. By the end of the two-day workshop, you’ll have created a unique and very special piece that you’ll love.

Summer pruning: How to prune cherry and apricot trees correctly
KVHS workshop in Bernburg
Bernburg. From early August to mid-September, stone fruit trees such as apricot and cherry require special care. Summer pruning helps to influence growth, wound healing and fruit quality. The instructor of the KVHS workshop and horticultural adviser has many years of experience. Workshop participants will learn the key principles so that they can later prune their apricot or cherry trees correctly. The expert will demonstrate the pruning techniques directly on the trees and answer any questions. He will introduce the appropriate tools and explain technical terms such as planting pruning, training pruning, maintenance pruning and rejuvenation pruning.

Keramik bemalen – DIY-Keramikmalwerkstatt
Bernburg. In diesem Workshop der KVHS entdecken Teilnehmer die Freude am Bemalen von Keramik, wenn sie Tassen, Tellern, Schalen oder dekorativen Objekten ihre ganz persönliche Note geben. In entspannter Atmosphäre lernen sie verschiedene Maltechniken kennen und gestalten individuelle Unikate – ganz ohne Vorkenntnisse.
Der Kurs vermittelt grundlegende Techniken der Keramikmalerei, den Umgang mit speziellen Farben sowie Tipps zu Motiven, Farbgestaltung und Mustern. Ob schlicht, verspielt oder modern, der Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Nach dem Bemalen werden die Werkstücke glasiert und gebrannt, so dass sie langlebig und alltagstauglich werden.
