In accordance with Section 12d of the Saxony-Anhalt Child Support Act (KiFöG LSA), the state will continue to provide funding in 2027 to alleviate the pressures arising from demographic change (demographic lump sum).
These measures are intended, on the one hand, to ease the workload on childcare professionals in nurseries and thereby improve the quality of care, and, on the other hand, to stabilise childcare provision across the country.
Eligible to apply are the operators of those day-care centres which are particularly affected by demographic trends and whose continued existence, as part of local public services, is urgently required within the framework of needs assessment in accordance with Section 10( 1, sentence 2 of the KiFöG LSA, taking into account local circumstances with regard to accessibility and the hours of childcare provided, is urgently required.
Applications for an allocation under Section 12d of the KiFöG LSA may therefore be submitted to the following address by 31 October 2026:

Applications are assessed and the funds subsequently allocated by the Salzlandkreis Youth and Family Service, in consultation with the Youth Welfare Committee.
