Issue of a hunting licence
Required documents
- Certificate of having passed the hunting examination
- Passport photo (3.5 x 4.5cm)
- Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance for the period applied for
Hunting test
In order to obtain a hunting licence, a hunting test must be passed. This is divided into three areas:
- Hunting shooting
- written examination
- Oral-practical examination
Admission to a hunting examination must be applied for in advance. The examination fees amount to EUR 250.00.
Applications and information on this can be obtained from the hunting authority of the Department of Public Order and Road Traffic.
Extension of a hunting licence
Required documents
- Previous hunting licence
- 1 passport photo if there is no longer a free renewal field in the hunting licence
- Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance for the period applied for
Fees
- for 1 year: £65.00
- by 2 years: EUR 100.00
- for 3 years: EUR 135.00
Hunting premium for the reduction of wild boar populations
The state of Saxony-Anhalt grants a hunting premium to reduce wild boar populations.
