Culture prize of the Salzland district
The Salzland district honours the commitment of people who preserve and maintain culture - especially in these challenging times. Since 2013, the Culture Prize has been awarded to individuals, groups of people and institutions who have shown exceptional commitment to the social, spatial and historical identification of people with their homeland through their artistic and cultural endeavours.
The cultural prize is awarded in the fields of literature, music, preservation of customs and local history. Criteria such as voluntary commitment, promotion of young talent or life's work are also taken into account.
All residents of the Salzland district are cordially invited to submit proposals for award winners with a meaningful and detailed statement of reasons. The application should be accompanied by press releases, photographic and documentary material as well as CVs or samples of work that give the Board of Trustees an insight into the work of the nominee.
Nominations can be made by persons and institutions who live or are based in the Salzlandkreis district or who have special links with the district. In accordance with the statutes, personal nominations will not be considered.
The award ceremony will be hosted by the District Administrator.
