20 January 2026: Increase in the recommended funding cap for education-related programmes in the Salzlandkreis district from EUR 2,000.00 to EUR 3,

000.00 On 7 January 2026, the Saxony-Anhalt State Administration Office informed the "School Success in the Salzlandkreis District" network that the funding limit for education-related programmes per school and calendar year can be EUR 3,000.00.

02.11.2023: Project funds are still available for the implementation of education-related programmes. Applications can be submitted after consultation with the "School Success in the Salzlandkreis" network office.

17.05.2023: Update of the application documents for an education-related offer

On 24.04.2023, the steering group "education-related offers" of the Salzland district decided that from 25.04.2023, the decision of the school's general conference is no longer part of the application documents for an education-related offer. The realisation of projects during lesson time, outside of lesson time and outside of the school grounds is the responsibility of the school. In this context, the school must check the insurance cover of the participants in the project. Further information can be found on page 4 of the "Information for project organisers, as at 30 September 2022". In principle, schools can pass a resolution in principle at the first general conference of the school year. This should state, among other things, that the school can submit a needs-based application for funding for an education-related offer to the "School Success in the Salzland District" network centre.

• Enabling successful educational biographies for children and young people
• Reduction and prevention of early school leaving
• Promoting equal access to quality education

• Networking of educationally relevant institutions, offices and stakeholders from the school and non-school sector and counselling and support for cooperation processes between youth welfare and schools
• Supporting the exchange of expertise in the region
• Realisation of educational offers
• Participation in relevant committees in the region in accordance with the local youth welfare organisation pursuant to Section 1 (1) of the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the State of Saxony-Anhalt

The "School Success in the Salzland District" network centre sees itself as a partner and service centre for all schools in the Salzland district, school social work project providers, school social workers and other stakeholders.

For us as the network hub "School Success in the Salzlandkreis", the Salzlandkreis 2030 strategy for the future is groundbreaking. The public services cluster focuses on topics that involve government tasks necessary for providing the population with all the goods and services they need to live (Salzlandkreis 2022, p. 21).

We consider the field of action "Education as a regional resource" to be essential (ibid., p. 24). The regional educational landscape must be preserved and a learning environment geared towards the needs of pupils must be created. The Salzland district has great potential for a prosperous future. This requires well-trained young talent, which is the basis for successful future-oriented development. "Under the aspect that the children of today are the actors of the future, the Salzlandkreis wants to strengthen the general education schools" (ibid. p. 24).

In order to reach all children and young people in a preventative and interventional manner and to understand education as a regional resource, regional support services must be networked with schools and cooperation between public and independent youth welfare organisations and schools must be established and expanded in a needs-oriented and targeted manner.
