PRACTICE BO
The state of Saxony-Anhalt supports various measures to improve the integration opportunities of long-term unemployed people who are distant from the labour market. The basis for the execution and implementation of corresponding projects is the "REGIO AKTIV" guideline on the granting of subsidies for the regionalisation of labour market promotion from funds of the European Social Fund Plus and the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The regulations of the "REGIO AKTIV" guideline on the granting of subsidies for the regionalisation of labour market promotion from funds of the European Social Fund Plus and the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Part 2 Special regulations, Section 5, Funding area E Deepening of school and extracurricular vocational orientation in the form of accompanied company internships (PRAXIS BO) apply.
Goal and target group
The aim of the programme is to support the careers orientation process of young people in all types of schools from year 7 onwards by helping them to complete work placements that match their individual aptitudes and skills. This gives young people an early insight into companies, allows them to test their career ideas in a realistic way and improves their chances of finding an apprenticeship. In return, the companies get to know their future and potential trainees, giving them more certainty when filling training places. The target group are pupils at all general education schools in Saxony-Anhalt. In exceptional cases, other young people up to the age of 25 can be integrated into the programme.
Contents
The educational staff of the funding recipients accompany the young people in their career guidance process. The following elements in particular can be part of the support programme:
- a) Individual preparation of participants for a work placement, if necessary with the involvement of those responsible for education,
- b) Support in finding suitable internships and preparing participants for job interviews,
- c) Reflection on learning outcomes,
- d) Documentation of the competences acquired in the career choice passport and
- e) Organisation of the transfer to the internship.
The aim of securing the transfer is to strengthen career guidance in rural areas in particular.
