Strengthening families - opening up prospects
The state of Saxony-Anhalt supports various measures to improve the integration opportunities of long-term unemployed people who are distant from the labour market. The basis for the execution and implementation of corresponding projects is the "REGIO AKTIV" guideline on the granting of subsidies for the regionalisation of labour market promotion from funds of the European Social Fund Plus and the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
The regulations of the "REGIO AKTIV" guideline on the granting of subsidies for the regionalisation of labour market promotion from funds of the European Social Fund Plus and the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Part 2 Special regulations, Section 2, Funding area B Support for family benefit communities in social and labour market integration "Strengthening families - opening up prospects" (FAMICO) apply.
Goal and target group
The aim of "Strengthening families - opening up prospects" is to support the integration of employable people in need of assistance from so-called family benefit communities in accordance with Book II of the German Social Code with at least one child into employment subject to social security contributions, training or other further measures through intensive support. The aim is to improve the employability of these people and their opportunities for social participation. The aim is to reduce poverty and the risk of poverty for these individuals as well as the transgenerational receipt of basic security benefits in the benefit communities.
The target group is unemployed single parents and unemployed persons entitled to benefits from family benefit communities from the legal sphere of the Second Book of the German Social Code with at least one child in the household. In the case of partner benefit communities, those in which both partners are unemployed should generally participate.
Contents
The following elements are the subject of family integration coaching:
- Intensive, holistic individual support and strength-oriented counselling for selected families and
- Accompanied integration into employment or training subject to social insurance contributions.
Implementation period
The project "Strengthening families - opening up prospects" will be carried out in the Salzland district for the period from 1 October 2022 to 31 December 2027.
