Our media offer
Tobacco and alcohol prevention
Salzland districtThe KlarSicht case offers hands-on stations and interactive learning content that appeal to participants on a cognitive, emotional and behavioural level, thereby increasing the prevention effects. It facilitates dialogue on "sensitive" topics because the participants can express themselves more spontaneously and open up in their role as players.
The KlarSicht case is suitable for young people between the ages of 12 and 17 - regardless of school type and year. Experience to date has shown that the case is also suitable for people with concentration and/or learning difficulties due to the different topics and stations as well as the variety of games and knowledge content.
Hygiene
Salzland districtIt is not always clear to children why they should constantly wash their hands and they don't always take it so seriously.
The "Hygiene and disease transmission experiment box" uses simple experiments to teach children how important hand washing is and why it can protect them from diseases.
Pathogens are transmitted via droplet infection and then often via the hands. We usually don't realise how many objects we touch in everyday life! The exciting experiments in the experiment box teach children how important thorough hand hygiene is and that it significantly reduces the likelihood of infection!
The UV gel contained in the box contains small particles that become visible under UV light and glow in a fascinating way. Teach the children that these particles are representative of germs and bacteria that collect on the surface of the hand in everyday life.
When carrying out the experiments, the children apply the UV gel to their hands and pass them to each other. The particles are transferred from hand to hand almost unnoticed - similar to bacteria. When the hands are illuminated with the UV lamp, the residues of the gel glow in a violet colour. It is very easy to see that particles that cannot be seen with the naked eye collect on the fingernails and in the spaces between the fingers. Even after a cursory wash of the hands, residues can still be found.
With this Hagemann experiment box, children become little UV detectives and acquire interesting background knowledge about hygiene and disease transmission in a playful way.
Merge Cube
Salzland districtAugmented reality is the computer-aided expansion of the perception of reality.
The Cube is the world's first holographic object that can be held in the hand. By combining augmented reality technology and natural movements, the Cube merges the real and digital worlds.
Pupils need the cube, the corresponding app and a smartphone or tablet. For example, the cube can be used to explore a galaxy, hold fossils and ancient artefacts, research a DNA molecule, examine the earth's core or dissect a virtual frog!
Bee-Bot educational robot (bee robot)
Salzland districtThe Bee-Bot educational robot is a child-friendly robot in the shape of a bee. Children can operate the Bee-Bot using the seven buttons on its back. To get from point A to point B, the Bee-Bot must first receive the correct commands, for example: two steps forwards, once to the right and then another step forwards. The Bee-Bot can memorise up to 200 steps. This allows it to perform a wide range of tasks.
The set of 6 Bee-Bots is completed with various floor mats, pen holders and sliders.
Regardless of which exercises are carried out with the Bee-Bot, pupils are always motivated to think ahead. The complexity is determined by the level of the task. Thanks to its ease of use, the Bee-Bot is well suited for pre-school and early primary school classes. Tasks can be organised by level of difficulty. This means that the Bee-Bot is also interesting for higher school levels.
Tasks with Bee-Bot promote logical thinking and contribute to the development of problem-solving skills. Students design a plan, test, evaluate and modify the programme as needed.

"The Zone of Interest" by Jonathan Glazer
Beyer, Nora 06, © Salzlandkreis"The Zone of Interest" premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2023 and won the Oscar for Best International Film and Best Sound.
MATTHIAS-FILM gGmbH has released this artistic triumph as a DVD with a screening licence and, in collaboration with KFW (Katholisches Filmwerk) GmbH and AMMMa AG, has developed modern interactive learning modules that offer pupils (from year 9) access to the film and the topic of the Holocaust. They enable an intensive, independent examination of the discrepancy between the visual and auditory levels of the film and, thanks to their creative character, also encourage younger pupils to understand how evil becomes visible in the banal and is still present today - after all, it is about certain types of behaviour that are by no means limited to the period between 1933 and 1945. In addition, the film booklet, specially designed for the upper school, offers a lot of further information, film clips for analysis and in-depth tasks.
The district media centre has added the film "The Zone of Interest" to its range and offers it to all schools and educational institutions in the Salzland district for free loan.
Death is (not) a taboo subject: "bereavement bag" for schools, daycare centres and childcare facilities
Salzland districtA school, daycare centre or childcare facility and its staff can also face crises caused by death and bereavement. These always place a heavy burden on everyone involved and educational professionals are faced with the responsible task of helping children and young people to cope successfully. This requires immediate decisions and empathetic behaviour. To help them help themselves, it is valuable to have some material ready that can be used to organise a bereavement room or table. In an emergency, this material should not have to be painstakingly collected, but should be readily available.
This gave rise to the idea of a "mourning bag", which is equipped with appropriate materials and is available for loan to schools, day-care centres and other institutions in the Salzland district at any time.
