District Parents' Council | District Pupils' Council

On 9 October 2025, elections for the district parents' council were held at the Am Tierpark secondary school in Staßfurt. Mr Kay Lorenz was elected chairperson as representative of the Beesenlaublingen primary school. Ms Sarah Lemsch, representative of the Am Prinzeßchen primary school in Barby, was elected deputy chairperson.

The District Parents' Council 2025 consists of 50 members and substitute members, with 2 additional members elected as substitute members from another type of school. The role of the district parents' council is to represent the interests of parents and pupils. It is also available as a point of contact for teachers and educators in our district. The district parents' council is the link between the schools, pupils, parents, school authorities, the state parents' council and the Ministry of Education. The committee works on problems and issues that are of importance to the schools and forwards them to the relevant bodies for processing.

Also on 9 October 2025, elections for the district student council were held at the Am Tierpark secondary school in Staßfurt. Lucienne Balke was elected spokesperson as representative of the Stephaneum grammar school in Aschersleben. Ellie Mertens was elected as deputy spokesperson, representing the Adam Olearius Free Community School in Aschersleben.

The District Pupils' Council 2025 consists of 32 members and substitute members The District Pupils' Council discusses all issues that are of particular importance to pupils in the district and brings problems to the attention of the respective school authorities. It can make proposals and take a stand on these issues. The district pupil council represents the interests of the pupils, not the school management.
