Preventive fire protection
- Conducting fire safety inspections in accordance with BrSchG § 3(4) and BrSchG § 19 in conjunction with the Ordinance on Fire Safety Inspections in Buildings within the District to protect people, animals, property and the environment from the dangers posed by fires and explosions.
- Recording, comparison and evaluation of all technical and organisational measures for fire prevention.
- Planning measures to prevent the spread of fires and ensure effective firefighting.
- Identification of fire-causing and other fire safety deficiencies, as well as the ordering and monitoring of their rectification.
- Cooperation with the State Office for Consumer Protection, the Building Regulations Office, the police authorities, district chimney sweeps and other hazard prevention authorities.
- Participation in the building permit process by reviewing projects and preparing statements on structural fire protection, as well as participating in building inspections.
- Checking that fire alarm systems are properly connected to the Salzlandkreis district control centre in accordance with the requirements of building permits.
