Reading café in February
Northwards - from Spitsbergen to Greenland: An illustrated report by the former KVHS director | Admission: 2 EUR
All eyes are currently on the Arctic region. The former director of the district adult education centre in Aschersleben, Axel Junghans, has already been there. In the reading café of the district library, he tells interested guests about his personal impressions, experiences and adventures. He has also brought a lot of visual material with him for an Arctic island expedition from Spitsbergen via the Faroe Islands to Greenland - experiencing the beautiful nature together in the Arctic summer and getting to know the country and its people. In addition to the capital cities of Longyearbeyen, Torshavn and Nuuk, the Library travellers also visit the interior of the country with its fjords, glaciers and gigantic waterfalls, the beauties of the north.
