Applying for a residence permit for self-employed professionals
Service description
You can obtain a residence permit for self-employed persons if you wish to carry out self-employed work in Germany. Freelance activities include scientific, artistic, literary, teaching, educational or other self-employed professional activities carried out on a self-employed basis in accordance with Section 18(1) of the Income Tax Act (e.g. self-employed doctors, notaries, tax advisers)
Where necessary, you must provide proof of a professional licence.
