General authorisation for the transfer of weapons and ammunition by commercial weapons manufacturers or weapons dealers for a period of up to 3 years
Service description
If you are a professional arms dealer or arms manufacturer and wish to transfer weapons or ammunition in accordance with Annex 1 Section 3 (Categories A 1.2 to C) of the Weapons Act (WaffG) to arms dealers in other member states, you can apply for a general export licence for a period of up to 3 years.
The licence may be restricted to certain types of weapons or ammunition and to certain Member States. The holder of a licence pursuant to Section 30 sentence 1 WaffG must notify the Federal Office of Administration in writing or electronically in advance of any transfer on the basis of this licence.
Procedure
You will receive a general transfer licence if you are a firearms dealer or manufacturer and provide the following information with your application:
- Name and address of the company,
- Telephone or fax number,
- First name and surname, place and date of birth of the holder of the licence pursuant to Section 21 (1) of the Weapons Act,
- Beneficiary Member State
- Type of weapons and ammunition
