Submit a declaration of fulfilment for compliance with the requirements of the Building Energy Act for new buildings

The respective countries regulate the procedure for the declaration of fulfilment, the authorisation to issue it, the mandatory information and the evidence to be submitted.

They must confirm that the requirements of the Building Energy Act are met.

• Submit a declaration of fulfilment in accordance with Section 92 (1) of the Building Energy Act (GEG) for new buildings
• Declarations of fulfilment must only be submitted for heated/cooled buildings
• Declaration of fulfilment must be submitted if a building is newly constructed
• In the case of mixed-use buildings, a declaration of fulfilment must be submitted for each part of the building
• At least one energy performance certificate and, if applicable, other documents must be submitted with the declaration of fulfilment; the competent authority may request further documents (e.g. calculation documents for the energy performance certificate, supplier confirmation in accordance with Section 96 (4) GEG)
