Applying for a partial building permit for the modification of an installation

You can apply for a partial building permit for the modification of a system via the online service or in writing.

Proceed as follows for written applications:

• Submit the application and state which building application your application for partial building authorisation relates to. Indicate which construction measures you would like to start early.
• Add the required building documents.
• Submit the application documents to the responsible lower building supervisory authority.
• If necessary, the lower building supervisory authority will ask you to pay a fee in advance.
• Make the advance payment.
• If documents are missing or other ambiguities exist, you will be asked to clarify these ambiguities.
• In this case, submit the missing or amended documents or the clarification.
• The lower building supervisory authority will examine your application and involve the competent authorities whose participation or consultation is required.
• You will then receive notification of your application and a fee notice.
• Pay the fees.
   

Lower building supervisory authority

You will receive a partial building permit to modify building structures if:

• the building application is complete with regard to the changes requested for partial building authorisation and
• the public law regulations are complied with

• If not yet submitted for planning application:
  • Extract from the official property map
  • Site plan
  • Construction drawings
  • Building description

If you have a partial building permit, you must submit a notice of commencement of construction work to the lower building supervisory authority at least one week before the start of construction work.

You must submit a notification of commencement of use to the lower building supervisory authority at least 2 weeks before commencing use.
