Apply for early enrolment
Service description
Children generally start school if they celebrate their 6th birthday in the period from 1 July of the previous year to 30 June of the year they start school. If parents wish, their children who turn 5 by 30 June of the following school year can also be enrolled. In both cases, enrolment at the school is necessary.
Tip:The educational staff at the nursery and the head teacher at the primary school can advise you on the most suitable time for your child to start school.
Procedure
Enrol your child at the primary school and apply to the school management for early enrolment.
- Like all other children, your child will take part in the school medical examination. Your child's current level of development will also be assessed.
- The school management will then invite you and your child to an interview.
- The final decision as to whether your child can actually start school early is made by the school management.
- Your child will be required to attend school upon admission.
