Register for admission to grammar school
Service description
Pupils in years 5 to 12 are taught at the grammar school. The Gymnasium provides an in-depth general education and concludes with the Abitur. This entitles students to study at all universities, colleges and universities of applied sciences nationwide or to take up a comparable vocational training programme.
Procedure
When moving from primary school to grammar school:
- You will receive individual advice on your child's future school career.
- You will receive the school career recommendation and the school career declaration form when the half-year reports are issued.
- The completed school career declaration must be submitted to the primary school for enrolment at the grammar school.
The allocation to a grammar school is made by the school authority.

What deadlines do I have to observe?
The school career declaration must be submitted to the primary school currently attended by the deadline. The deadline will be announced when the half-year report card/school career declaration is issued.
