Schönebeck. The Salzland Museum will be opening its doors this Sunday, outside its usual opening hours, from 10 am to 4 pm, and will also be hosting a special event in the courtyard, in collaboration with the Pömmelte Ring Sanctuary and archaeotechnician Frank Trommer.
This special Sunday at the museum, organised as an ‘Archaeotechnology Family Day’, is directly linked to the tenth anniversary of the Ring Sanctuary, and admission is free.
Visitors of all ages can look forward to a wide range of (hands-on) activities for the whole family: for example, making their own Stone Age flutes, knives and jewellery, or even a so-called ‘thumb cinema’ or ‘spinning cinema’. In addition, the archaeotechnician will provide fascinating insights into life in the Stone Age through live demonstrations.
The Salzland Museum Friends’ Association looks after the visitors’ refreshments.
