Schönebeck. The Operetta Summer is drawing near: the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie and the District Adult Education Centre are offering a chance to take a peek behind the scenes even before the premiere on the Bierer Berg, where *Wiener Blut* will be performed, sung and danced in front of a large audience on the open-air stage from 27 June to 26 July.
For this unique event, the two cultural and educational institutions in the Salzlandkreis are joining forces – though this is not the first time they have done so, and in previous years the KVHS places were snapped up quickly. Over the course of three hours, participants gain fascinating insights into how an orchestra rehearsal works, and what needs to be considered, planned and organised in advance to ensure that the eagerly awaited audience is impressed and delighted shortly afterwards. Chief Conductor Jan Michael Horstmann himself takes the time to answer questions from the KVHS guests at the Bierer Berg during the main rehearsal of the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck; these guests have previously enjoyed a guided tour in front of, on and behind the stage.
And because the performance and rehearsals are live, the weather must ultimately play its part. Should the rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon have to be cut short due to the weather, there is still the option of attending the dress rehearsal the following day, starting at 4 pm, without the need to register again.
However, registration is essential: Please register online at:
or fill in a registration form and hand it in straight away at any of the KVHS centres in the Salzlandkreis.
