Alsleben. The second edition of ‘Seahorse Sunday’ gets underway at the Alsleben outdoor swimming pool. As there is high demand for swimming badge tests, the Bernburg branch of the DLRG has decided to offer Seepferdchen tests once again this coming Sunday, 23 August, from 12 noon, with the support of the Salzlandkreis district and Salzlandsparkasse.
Participation is open to anyone on a drop-in basis and is free of charge. The programme is aimed at children and young people who can already swim but do not yet hold a ‘Seepferdchen’ certificate. “Passing the test gives both children and parents peace of mind,” says District Administrator Markus Bauer. Given the large number of families who have taken part in one of the tests in the Salzlandkreis over the past few weeks, he already regards the scheme as a complete success.
