Bernburg. The painting and drawing course at the District Adult Education Centre, which has been run for years by the artist Hella Kapischke, is both well-established and popular in Bernburg. She passes on her skills, knowledge and wealth of experience, whilst encouraging and challenging the participants in their artistic endeavours. The amateur artists are currently exhibiting the works they have created together at the KVHS in a joint exhibition: ‘Kreuz und quer’ (Criss-cross) showcases a variety of themes and different painting and drawing techniques, which are on public display at the centre.
The course participants’ works are inspired by observations of nature, holiday experiences and their own imagination. Combined with their steadily improving skills and individual talent, the result is a collection of colourful watercolours and drawings, landscapes, still lifes and details from larger compositions. The selection also features well-known scenes from the town of Bernburg.
The current exhibition at the KVHS in Bernburg, at Vor dem Nienburger Tor 13a, can be visited until the end of the year during normal opening hours.
Guided tours of the exhibition are available for groups. Anyone interested can contact a member of staff at the KVHS to make arrangements
