Holiday workshop
Sun Pictures
29 July 2026 | 10 am – 1 pm | Entry fee: 5 euros
Sunlight helps to create truly unique images. This is made possible by the cyanotype technique. Plants and found objects are collected on site, pressed and arranged on paper. Almost as if by magic, exposure to sunlight produces striking compositions, which can then be creatively enhanced or coloured in. The workshop combines an experience of nature with hands-on creative practice and invites participants to create their own sun-printed images.
No prior knowledge is required.
Recommended for ages 5 and over / Duration: approx. 90 minutes. Cost: 5 euros
Building a sundial
5 August 2026 | 10.00–13.00 | Participation fee: 8 euros
How can you tell the time using just the sun? In this exciting holiday workshop, children will build their own sundial under expert guidance. Everyone will also receive a mini-compass to take home. Using the sundial and compass, they can explore together what the sun’s path meant to people and how they aligned the Ring Sanctuary with it. There’s plenty of variety for the little sundial-makers to get involved, discover and experiment.
No prior knowledge is required.
Recommended for ages 5 and over / Duration: approx. 90 minutes. Cost: 8 euros
