Aschersleben. One, two or four laps of Aschersleben’s Promenadenring: runners of all ages from U12 upwards can take part in the ‘Lauf der Bildung’ on 11 September. The event is organised by the Salzlandkreis Education Academy, which is once again inviting runners and visitors alike. The main sponsors are, once again, PSV Bernburg and LSG Ascania Aschersleben.
The race will start at 6 pm on the Augustapromenade, between the District Adult Education Centre and the District Music School. From there, the circuit runs along the historic city walls. The race will also count towards the Solvay Cup for individual runners. You can choose between one, two or four laps, corresponding to a 2.3-, 4.6- or 9.2-kilometre course. Relay teams will compete over 4 x 2.3 kilometres for the winner’s trophy in the ‘Run for Education’.
In addition, the Education Academy offers all participants and visitors a small, family-friendly programme of educational, cultural and entertainment activities, going beyond sporting activities.
