Pömmelte. The question “How did people in the Bronze Age depict their world?” will soon be answered at the Pömmelte Ring Sanctuary. The holiday programme, entitled “Bronze Age Rock Art”, invites school groups and anyone else interested to join a fascinating one-hour journey of discovery into the past.
During the creative hands-on programme at the end of May and end of June, participants explore the mysterious signs and carvings in the ring sanctuary together under guidance. Using the technique of rubbing, they rub the structures on paper and make them visible. They then create their own works of art, using colours, shapes and a lot of imagination to further shape the imprints creatively.
