Bernburg. Starting in March, a spring cleaning campaign will once again remove rubbish and dirt from public areas in the Salzlandkreis district. District Administrator Markus Bauer, together with the towns and municipalities, is calling on associations, companies and private individuals to take part in a major clean-up. "We want to be perceived as an attractive place to live between Halle and Magdeburg. This also includes cleanliness," explains District Administrator Markus Bauer. He therefore hopes that many volunteers will once again take part in the campaign, because: "A region is only as beautiful as we make it."
The spring clean is scheduled to take place from 3 March to 4 April. As usual, the cities and municipalities are responsible for the actual implementation, as they know the local conditions best. Volunteers should therefore contact their town or municipal administrations. As in previous years, the Salzland district's business organisation is supporting the multi-week campaign. "We provide the necessary rubbish bags and gloves. We also accept the waste free of charge at the recycling centres in Bernburg, Aschersleben and Schönebeck if you register in advance," says operations manager Ralf Felgenträger.
Numerous clubs, companies, authorities, schools and private individuals have participated in the agreed major clean-up after winter. District Administrator Markus Bauer once again expresses his sincere thanks for this commitment. "It's wonderful to see that so many people here care deeply about their home region." Once again, we need helping hands and transport vehicles from companies or private individuals to clear parks, field and forest paths, waterways and field margins of dirt and rubbish. Please register by the end of February with the district waste management company by calling +49 3471/6844522 or sending an email to fruehjahrsputz@kwb-slk.de.
