Bernburg. The waste guide published by the Salzlandkreis District Economic Services is expected to be made available at district administration offices and in towns and parishes from early December. A total of 40,000 copies will be available, according to operations manager Ralf Felgenträger.
"We want to slowly but surely move away from the paper form in order to save valuable resources." The operations manager therefore recommends familiarising yourself with the possibilities of the app for your smartphone or tablet. Because: "Everything that the printed guide offers is also available digitally."
The Kreiswirtschaftsbetrieb has been offering this digital service, which goes far beyond the possibilities of the printed waste guide, for eight years now. For example, appointments for bulky waste collection can also be booked.
The offer is popular: More than 42,000 citizens have now downloaded the KWB app. More than 1000 use the service via Alexa. Ralf Felgenträger: "From our point of view, the app is a great way to get information at any time and take care of the things that need to be done."
All information about waste disposal in the Salzland district for the coming year as well as the corresponding services provided by the Kreiswirtschaftsbetrieb will also be available on the website from mid-December. Anyone who has a request for information from the Kreiswirtschaftsbetrieb can also use the usual methods: by e-mail, post or in person during business hours.
