Staßfurt. Music brings people together, across generations, borders and life paths. Under the title “Accordionissimo”, the young musicians of the student accordion orchestra from the “Béla Bartók” District Music School are coming together for a special concert at the Salzlandtheater in Staßfurt. On 27 September at 3 pm, they will perform their annual concert under the baton of Dieter Giesemann. This time, they will not be alone in the spotlight. They will be joined by two guests whose paths have crossed with the school accordion orchestra in very different ways.
Kevin Dietrich, a former pupil, returns to the stage where his musical journey once began as a seasoned accordion teacher from Berlin with his own part of the programme. He and the Kreismusikschule ensemble are not only connected by the past, but also by a musical togetherness that will find expression in a special ensemble piece.
Volodymyr Geiko's musical journey began geographically far away: The Ukrainian guest also enriches the concert with his playing as a soloist, accompanied by the school accordion orchestra. After having to leave his homeland, he has now found a new one, including in the accordion ensemble at the district music school.
"Accordionissimo. A concert of paths - from home to sound" is therefore more than just a motto. It is an invitation from the district music students with the accordion to listen, empathise and experience the unifying power of music together.
Tickets for the concert on 27 September 2025 at 3 pm at the Salzlandtheater in Staßfurt are available from the usual ticket outlets, by telephone on 03925 320018 and online at www.salzlandtheater.de
