Bernburg. Qualification in voluntary work and honorary positions in the Salzlandkreis district guarantees good work with children and young people. Trained and experienced lecturers teach basic educational skills and fundamental legal knowledge. In this way, the Salzlandkreis district has been providing high-quality, free training to volunteers working with children and young people for many years.
The Youth and Family Services and the Education and Training Assistance Office are working together to offer the next JuleiCa (Youth Leader Card) training course in several modules at the district adult education centre. The course starts on 10 April and ends on 25 April at the KVHS location in Bernburg. For organisational reasons, only one module will take place at a youth facility in Aschersleben.
The seminars cover pedagogical content, such as communication in conflict and bullying situations, project management and the prevention of extremism and addiction, as well as basic content from the areas of organisation, law, supervisory duties and insurance. By combining theory-orientated content with practical methods and concepts, the training is varied and versatile. At least 35 hours of training must be successfully completed for the Youth Leader Card to be issued, and at least 12 hours for its renewal. The programme comprises nine modules and the 35 hours required for the initial issue.
Anyone who does not use individual modules now can catch up on them in a follow-up course. The number of participants is limited, the recommended age for participation is at least 16 years, in exceptional cases also 15 years.
